Electrical Panel

Electrical Panel

If you live in an older home, your current circuit breaker may not meet your electrical needs, or maybe you are planning to upgrade or add to the electrical work in your home. If so, you may need to replace or upgrade your electrical circuit panel. Many older boxes are unsafe and pose a risk of an electrical fire. Most homes have increased their electrical use over the years, putting a strain on older systems. Most often, the cost to upgrade a house electrical system is worth it because it provides improved functionality and safety benefits.

Circuit Breaker

Circuit Breaker

Circuit Breaker

Circuit breaker is an electrical switch designed to protect an electrical circuit from damage caused by overcurrent/overload or short circuit. Its basic function is to interrupt current flow after protective relays detect a fault.

EV Charger

Electric Vehicle (EV) is becoming more and more common, thanks to their cost and energy savings. If you want to save on fuel bills and minimize pollution, an EV that runs off a battery may be a smart investment. You can charge the battery at home or a public/commercial charging station. The vast majority of EVs include a Level 1 charger that can be plugged into a standard 120-volt outlet. However, you can upgrade to a faster charging station, too. This way, you can charge your vehicle quickly and efficiently while supporting the environment.

Attic Fan

Attic Fan

Attic fan is a ventilation fan which regulates the heat level of a building’s attic by exhausting hot air. A thermostat is used to automatically turn the fan off and on, while sometimes a manual switch is used. An attic fan can be gable mounted or roof mounted. Additional vents are required to draw in the fresh air as the hot air is exhausted. Attic fans are typically used in warmer months, when temperatures in an attic can exceed 120 °F. A fan may be installed in an attic for the different purpose of cooling a whole house, venting hot air out via the attic.

Safety & Code Corrections

Electrical code & corrections are a set of regulations for the design and installation of electrical wiring in a building. The intention of a code is to provide standards to ensure electrical wiring systems that are safe for people and property.
Such wiring is subject to rigorous safety standards for design and installation. Wires and electrical cables are specified according to the circuit operating voltage and electric current capability, with further restrictions on the environmental conditions, such as ambient temperature range, moisture levels, and exposure to sunlight and chemicals. Associated circuit protection, control and distribution devices within a building’s wiring system are subject to voltage, current and functional specification. To ensure both wiring and associated devices are designed, selected and installed so that they are safe for use, they are subject to wiring safety codes or regulations.

Ceiling Recessed Lights

Ceiling Recessed Lights

Recessed light or downlight is a light fixture that is installed into a hollow opening in a ceiling. When installed it appears to have light shining from a hole in the ceiling, concentrating the light in a downward direction as a broad floodlight or narrow spotlight.
There are three parts to a recessed lighting fixture: housing, trim and bulb. The trim is the visible portion of the light. It is the insert that is seen when looking up into the fixture, and also includes the thin lining around the edge of the light. The housing is the fixture itself that is installed inside the ceiling and contains the lamp holder. There are many different types of bulbs that can be inserted into recessed lighting fixtures, with the amount of heat generated by the bulb being a unique consideration.

Thermostat

Thermostat

Thermostats set the temperature of your home, so they play a key role in how comfortable your home feels. Whether using heating or air conditioning, a thermostat determines when your Furnace or AC unit turns on and off. However, they need to be replaced at some point, so you need to consider the costs of installing a new one or replacing the old one. Thermostats can be manual, programmable with or without Wi-Fi, or Smart, and each has various styles, options, and costs to consider.

Backup Generator

Backup Generator

A standby generator is a back-up electrical system that operates automatically. Within seconds of a utility outage an automatic transfer switch senses the power loss, commands the generator to start and then transfers the electrical load to the generator. The standby generator begins supplying power to the circuits. After utility power returns, the automatic transfer switch transfers the electrical load back to the utility and signals the standby generator to shut off. It then returns to standby mode where it awaits the next outage. To ensure a proper response to an outage, a standby generator runs weekly self-tests. Most units run on diesel, natural gas, or liquid propane gas.
Automatic standby generator systems may be required by building codes for critical safety systems such as elevators in high-rise buildings, fire protection systems, standby lighting, or medical and life support equipment.Residential standby generators are increasingly common, providing backup electrical power to HVAC systems, security systems, and household appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, and water heaters.

Furnace

Furnace is one of the most common methods of heating a home. They circulate warm air through ducts to vents installed in your floor, walls, or ceiling. The furnace uses several different fuel types to produce this heat – oil, gas, propane, or electricity. Each unit type has its own attributes and cost structure, which impacts the cost of your installation.

Ventilation

Ventilation

Having a home ventilation system keeps the air quality in your home where it should be for a healthy atmosphere. This is a vital part of keeping your family and yourself well and your home comfortable and safe. A ventilation system is necessary to keep harmful gasses, pollen, dust, and humidity under control. Homeowners with the correct ventilation system save money on electricity and still keep the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Wiring Rewiring

Your home’s wiring is integral to the way that you live in your home. While you may not see the wires hidden inside your walls and ceilings, they are delivering electricity to your lights, power strips, chargers, and appliances. When building a new home or addition, you need electrical wiring installed in the process. Homes built before 1960 may not have the capacity to handle modern appliances. Some older homes may also have older wires that are corroding and causing issues that could be dangerous. When dangerous issues develop, replacing the wiring or rewiring the house with a panel upgrade and updates to the outlets and many fixtures is usually required.

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning

If you have central air conditioning or forced hot air in your home, you likely have ducts running throughout your home. Ducts allow air to flow through your home from your HVAC system to the vents in each room. Without ducts, air could not travel consistently to all areas of your house at once. Many factors impact your project costs, such as the home size and layout and whether you are replacing or upgrading existing ducts versus installing new ducts in a home without them. In general, replacements are easier and less costly than new installations.

Ceiling Fan

Ceiling fan is a mechanical fan that hangs from the ceiling, providing ventilation for the surrounding area through the rotation of broad blades. A ceiling fan saves on energy costs since it is an affordable and efficient alternative to air conditioning. It also provides you with an easy way to create airflow and coolness in your home.

Bathroom Fan

Bathroom Fan

Bathrooms tend to be small humid spaces that can hold unpleasant smells for a long time. Having a bathroom fan circulates the Bathroom air, eliminating odors, contaminants, and humidity. It pulls air from the bathroom and vents it outdoors. By running it, you keep the air in your bathroom cleaner and fresher, preventing mold and moisture damage. There are many bathroom fan types and styles. The installation method and size vary by installation and bathroom.

Electrical Outlet

Electrical outlet is a unit that allows an electrical device to connect to the source of electricity. These are usually installed in walls and sometimes floors. Proper electrical work requires knowledge of building codes. It can potentially be hazardous if you do not know what you are doing, which is why the installation is best left to a professional electrician.

Light Switch

Light Switch

Electrical work like light switch installation requires the special knowledge, skills, and safety precautions of a trained individual. If you have a broken light switch that needs replacing or are building new construction, you may need light switch installation in one or more places in the home. Unless you are highly experienced in installing light switches, you should hire a professional electrician to complete the work effectively. The risk of electrical shock and fire exists if the work is completed incorrectly.

Low Voltage Electricity

Low voltage systems are comprised of electrical equipment that uses 50 volts of electricity or less. Common low voltages include 48 V, 24 V, and 12 V. Residential examples of low voltage systems include doorbells, garage door openers, home security sensors, thermostats, and landscape lighting.

Mr Rashid and his team have done a couple of jobs for us (the second one being far more interesting and challenging) and have aced it both the times. The first time I had and Rashid come over was to install a couple of chandeliers that were replacements for existing ones which I had taken down already. He arrived on time and got going. He definitely knows his craft really well and in a matter of half an hour or less he was able to hang in both the chandeliers with the wiring and secured them from the ceiling. We tested each of those with a bulb before he packed up his toolkit and successfully closed out the job.One of the chandeliers that I had taken down in the process, I decided to have it installed in the kitchen right above the dining area as it’s standout in that spot.I reached out to Mr Rashid one more time and he stopped by to analyze and present a quote. We agreed upon the numbers and he mentioned that he would send a team of two to tackle this job on an agreed upon date and time. Upon the day if install, two of his team members showed up and got the job done even though it turned out to be far more challenging than anticipated since there was more in the way in the attic ( great job done with the roofing and attic with the amount of wood and ply boards running through) and had to be done all from the outside as the space in the attic is absolutely blocked and it’s hard to see through.Great job overall and I’d definitely recommend them for any and every electrical jobs that you may have

Rashid and his crew installed electrical outlets in three rooms in my place, helped me troubleshoot an issue with my ceiling fan light, and replaced a light fixture for me. They do grew work, show up on time, and get the job done. Rashid even came to troubleshoot a small issue with my ceiling fan remote long after he finished the work in my place. I’m glad I went with this company. They’re honest and do great work

I lost power to the pool equipment and needed an electrician. I got Rashid's name from Angi. Since the problem was underground between the garage and the pool equipment, Rashid had to rewire the system. He was awesome...very knowledgeable and easy to work with. The project was more complicated than expected and by the time he finished it was past 9 pm. I was super satisfied with the work and will hire him to replace the panel next since it's old and out of code.

Rashid came into our project with an extremely competitive bid to install multiple EV chargers in Downtown San Jose. He navigated the city permits process and installed multiple EV chargers where others contractors simply couldn't compete. Rashid's team does great work, a clean installation in condominium building is nothing to scoff at! Rashid was fair and able to really pull things together. I'll be happy to poke him for my needs in the future.
